The Holiday Special is starting to take shape. We still are finalizing the list of performers in the show and I don't want to give anything away, but it should be a lot of fun to both participate in and/or to view. Remember it'll be in the

late_late_show journal on December 24th. Fun stuff! Still a bit of time to let me know if you want to be a part of it... It'll be a new holiday tradition, just like my rerun of Rudolph! Think about it, but don't think too long! I'll give you til Monday night to let me know! (I have to write this show, ya know...)

My "Party Pals"™ are in an especially partying mood as the poster for "Old School" is now out! Have a look at it, in all its collegiate glory!

I won't review this poster just yet... but I smell Oscar Buzz!

luke_wilson helped to secure a tiny "blink and you'll miss it" part in this film for me. And now might be a good time to say another person in that very same film, ("Old School," Opening Friday February 21st In Theaters Only!) and fellow CBS star,

l_remini is here! She's a hot one! She's a pistol. I like to call her a "Sparkplug." You've seen her on "King of Queens," and she was in that "Robbie The Reindeer" cartoon! She's a welcome addition to the group!

I don't want to bring down the room, but I had a fascinating discussion with

g_gershon about this entry in her journal. I find that frequently, there is so much "fluff," so much frivolity around here that something like that seems all the more jarring in comparison. Face it. Sometimes we "entertain ourselves to death!" It's good to examine, in a reasoned way, other elements that go into who we are.

If Gina isn't on your friends list, you are missing out on some of the most thought-provoking discussions in the whole community. I'm not going to tell you to add her on. Only people of the highest intelligence and greatest sophistication would add her anyway.

I've already told her this, but I want to publiclly state that I greatly admire Gina's

thetellproject, and its challenge of creating a film. It's something I had hoped to do, but the support wasn't there. I wish her well, in everything.

How about

_oprah_, huh? What can you say? She is Oprah! I don't want to say too much, just in case my boss,

dave_letterman happens to return. He's got a thing about Oprah. Or, really, he wants to have a thing about... never mind.

As for the CBS version of the program... you'll be interested to note that

jakob_dylan and The Wallflowers are on the show TONIGHT! And everyone's favorite Goo Goo Doll,

johnrzeznik is on FRIDAY! Too bad

call_me_tori isn't still around or I could plug Tori Amos appearing on Thursday. Still you'll want to be tuned in! Great stuff ahead.
