My So-Called (Love) Life

I'm sorry. I'm not big on publicising what happens in the confines of my bedchamber. The word is "decorum," people. Look it up. And yes, things do sometimes happen there, with others in addition to me involved. You may stop looking aghast now! And, yes. You'll just have to guess.

I have to say that there are some specific issues about it all. I am a talk show host, so, the illusion of "availibility" needs to be maintained. If I began some whirlwind affair with any one person, it would be a disservice to both the show and that other person. Part of me feels badly about this, but I look at the big picture.

I'm also a shameless flirt. What can I say? It's all a part of my "Boy Next Door" charm! It comes with the package. If I was involved, I wouldn't feel as comfortable to be who I am, and that would be a big problem. I'm really looking out for that other person. Jealousy is a difficult thing, and in show biz, it's only natural to feel threatened under those sorts of circumstances. I don't want any discomfort for anyone!

There's also the "drama" that goes with any love adventure around here. I can't have my heart broken and expect to come out and do jokes to make America laugh, night after night! Pain and suffering don't make me any funnier than I already am. I'd rather be happy and alone. At least that's an element I can deal with in a day-to-day method. Stability is important to me.

So, for the record, there's no one that's "serious" in my life, and it's unlikely that someone will be in the forseeable future.

That doesn't mean that it's impossible.
