Tragedy.

Senator Paul Wellstone (D - Minnesota) and his wife and daughter were killed in a plane crash this morning along with the pilots and two other staff members.

I'm shocked and stunned. Senator Wellstone was a very active and important member of Congress. I had the pleasure of meeting him at least a couple of times and he was constantly in action. A real great go to guy. He was campaigning to hold his seat in the Senate.

Apparently ice on the plane's wings may have had something to do with the crash.

I just heard. I'm so sad. I wrote him a letter once. He wrote back to me. He was a good guy, I think.

He will be missed.
