I decided I needed a diversion, so I went to see a movie. I was fortunate enough to see "Me Without You." It wasn't playing anywhere, so I got a screening of it and wow.

It was the story of an unrequited love... Michelle Williams and Anna Friel play neighbors and best friends who grew up in a London suburb Michelle's character loves Anna's brother, played by Oliver Milburn. And he loved her, but his sibling kept them apart! And then there was the matter of Kyle MacLachlan, who played a college professor who has liaisons with both women.

What really moved me was the thought that you could be in love with someone, secretly, for years and never be able to realize it. It's heartbreaking.

I expected to see the film alone, but just before the screening began, a woman walked in and sat on the other side of the room. Very disconcerting. Then, she dashed out as soon as the credits began. Weird.

I guess you'll have to catch this film at Blockbuster. But I do hope you do see it.
