lance_bass is having a birthday today. I'd wish him a happy birthday here, except I know he would never see it.

Hey, it's Cinco de Mayo so I need to start drinking Coronas right away. And maybe a shot or two of the Cuervo Gold.

See? I'm happy. No need to worry about me. Nothing wrong here.

Maybe I should swing by the Playboy Mansion and see if any loose rabbits are around. Hey! Maybe I could watch that NBC Special from there. That might be good. The show starts in about two and a half hours. Great. I'd check out other people's viewing plans, except I don't know anyone else who I'm sure has the East Coast feed of the telecast.

Or, maybe I'll just watch it here at home, alone with the shades pulled.

Sorry I'm not my usual chipper self. You may have heard that Debra and I had a falling out and that we basically broke up, in the second-worst way you can: over the phone.

I'm sure I'll have to talk with her face-to-face later in the week, but I don't see the relationship going where she wants it to go. If I knew it was going to turn out the way it has, I probably would have backed off sooner. But I didn't know. I really thought it would work. At least I was willing to try.

Now, I feel guilty, as though I was the one who tricked her. I feel like I'm the one who owes her an apology.

Maybe I'll just make a pot of French Roast, watch the Spurs/Lakers game and just forget about everything else. Why not.

Questions:
Is there a way to "basically" break up?
What is the worst way to break up?

1)You don't have to do anything, including talking to me, if you don't want to.
2) This was never about you backing off. This was about me telling you the truth and being honest. I'd rather have you be upset with me for the truth then be upset with me for a lie.
3) You couldn't know where I wanted this to go because even I don't...didn't know that.

I hope you saw the post I mad last night for you. It took a lot outta me, and I hope you took the time to read it.

You have had some interesting typos lately.
I tend to make typos when my mind is moving faster then my fingers can type.

Last night, after our...discussion...I was thinking of skipping LA all together and heading to RI to see the family, and then right to Cannes. But that would be childish. I'll be back in town on Monday night, and I look forward to talking with you.

The San Antonio/LA game has been incredible, from what I've heard on the radio. (I sometimes bring one with me to these events.) If you're watching it, I hope you're enjoying it too.
