Late Late (No) Show
Apr. 27th, 2002 08:07 amA weird night all the way around. It began with the set up for the
late_late_show at about 8:30pm local time.
c_diaz and
parkerposey were both online, but for some reason, Parker was "idle."
As time went on, and Parker did not respond to IMs, I started considering options.
j_brewster, who was having her 22nd Birthday was one possibility. She said she was game, but I knew she really wasn't.
Then came
portia_de_rossi, who actually did want to do it. I began to adjust the show so that she could be the guest.
Meanwhile,
andy_hallett was relaying a message from Parker that said her computer was ruined and that she was trying to get it running again.
So, I decided to go with Portia and began to rewrite the appropriate segments.
Then, Parker got online, and promptly exited.
It didn't help that Cami herself got booted from AIM while we were waiting.
I decided that the vibe was all wrong and for the first time ever, I postponed the show. It was not a snap decision, and I didn't want to do it, but there were no other good options at that point, nearly 45 minutes after the scheduled start time.
Meanwhile,
debra_messing and Portia brought Andy and I to the Brewster celebration (she had already gone to get some birthday Z's.)
It was all quite entertaining, until
jamie_hewlett IMed me.
?
His cryptic quote was for me to have Debra IM him back because of something he wanted her to know about before she read it somewhere else?
During our brief conversation, Jamie accused me of being overly-possessive of Debra, and attempted to treat me as some sort of errand boy. *shrug*
Still, the fact of the matter is that Debra has ongoing issues with the members of these rock groups. What they are she hasn't shared with me. And as disturbing as that is, there isn't even an excuse or cover story.
It's so odd. By that time, I was exhausted, my adrenalin high was over and I needed to sleep.
I'm not finding anything fun right now.
I hope to reach Parker sometime today to see if she can do a make-up ep of the show this evening.
The way things are currently going, the answer will be "No."

Date: 2002-04-27 11:47 am (UTC)Dude.
It might help if you first learned how to read the English Language.
Perhaps YOU think you're a star, so you "saw" it there. I for one don't think you're much of anything.
Ta.
Re: Dude.
Date: 2002-04-27 01:13 pm (UTC)Ahh. Wonderful. Tension. Oh how I sense tension. I miss that. I miss starting shite. How great it is, to start shite. Ever since I've gotten in a relationship with Jim I'm been a bit settled down, perhaps you shall be the one to change that.
Oh, look at that bright fucking "OBVIOUS" sign flashing right there for you Kilborn. I'm neither rock (Gorillaz aren't much of a rock group, genius) nor a star (fucking comic book retailers don't even know me), I don't need some smart-assed late night talk show host to inform me of this, ta.
But I must say, quite snarky of you Kilborn. Lively in your old age.
Re: Dud.
Keep on dreaming!
I agree. Gorillaz aren't much of a rock group, Shirley! At least you got THAT right.
As for starting things... you have started nothing.
And as for "tension?" Hardly. A mosquito at a barbecue is how I see you. If you enter, prepare to be swatted.
And yes, you may not have dentists, but you should have mouthwash. Try it sometime.
