Petty Annoyances

I don't mean to give the range of reactions to Debra and my attempts to try what we're doing more weight than they deserve, so I'm not going to talk about it more than a line or two here.

I'm just surprised at the variety of comments about it. I tend not to be in the tabloids, so this is a bit new for me. Perhaps some of you know what this is like. I don't really. I'm just a humble talk show host who tries to make people happy with a joke, a smile and a whole lot of style.

It's a valuable life lesson. However, it would be nice if, when you decide to toss out comments like spit on the sidewalk, that you remember: We are people, not pavement. Thanks.
