First Show Since

mrkilbornI have to admit, Dave Letterman is the consummate professional. He was able to focus on all the things that matter. Guiliani, the firefighters and police, he had the right tone.
I, on the other hand, was rambling and focused on when the show would be back to funny. I should have jotted a couple of points on a card and referred to it.
Still, I think the show went well. Patty Heaton gave it that sweet eyewitness account, she was darling... Lawrence O'Donnell was really informative and he said something really important... referencing Johnny Carson working during the Vietnam War and Bob Hope's shows from the battle zones. It definitely made me think.
Dr. Drew... why can't he use smaller words? I didn't understand half of what he said.
But I was heartened by all that was said, on both Dave's show and mine. The world is different, but I think we're going to be okay.
