Busy Weekend...
Jan. 12th, 2002 04:28 amI do have things to do this weekend, not the least of which is making an appearance on "The People's Choice Awards." Two weeks and two trips to Pasadena? It's definitely a curious year, so far.
Still, I'm the biggest team player out there, and I'm pleased to help out CBS wherever I can, since they PROMISED to return the favor next month.
Even with my flawless reputation, some of the suits at CBS are concerned that I'll misbehave or say something or do something naughty. I don't know why? I love the "People's Golden Global Choice."
You know, "The People Magazine Most Intriguing Golden Global Palm D'Or Choice Award"... that's really THE BEST award because it's chosen by... people. People who got a telemarketing call from the Gallup Poll people and who had nothing better to do than actually TALK TO THEM!
And it's such a lovely award, as well. It's shaped like... that thing. And it's see-through! Not that many awards are.

Lovely, isn't it. Wait a second. They changed the look from last year! Well, it looks like an improvement. Functional.
Anyway, "The International People Magazine's Most Intriguing Euro Golden Global Commodities Market Palm D'Or and George Foreman Griller's Choice Award" is going to be Sunday, so I have to go up to Pasadena today to look at the teleprompter and collect my goody bag for the ceremony.
It's all about the PEOPLE, though. Without the PEOPLE, then, we couldn't do anything!
Well... that isn't true. We could do everything we do now. We just would have to, you know, pick up our own dry cleaning and wash our own Beemers.
Thank goodness that isn't the world we live in, huh?
Proud of you!
