So... here's my deal. I'm fortunate enough to have a very large friends list and an even LARGER friend of list. I like interacting. What can I say? Job description.

But I don't like having a large number of "dead journals" on my list. So, if you had friended me and I dumped you, it's probably because you haven't posted in over 8 weeks. It's not that I don't like you, but if you aren't active, then you better move on.

So, if the above scenario is true for you and you'd like me to add you back, please let me know with a comment. It's really helpful.

Also, thanks in part to [livejournal.com profile] majandra_d, I'm looking into a revival and a reworking of the [livejournal.com profile] late_late_show.

Part of the problem with the program is all of the writing that goes into it. I do an "In The News" segment, monologue jokes, 5 questions, and frequently Yambo, and my schedule (and budget for the AIM/LJ version) doesn't allow me to do it on a weekly basis.

So, I was thinking that maybe I would do a scaled down version of the program, with the emphasis on guest interaction, and maybe only one or two of the elements from the CBS show each time. Maybe it would be thirty minutes instead of an hour, and if it proved to be doable, perhaps as much as twice a week, possibly starting at the end of May.

Then, there is the matter of getting guests for the program, a big stumbling block this past winter! If there's no interest, then there's no point in trying it! Perhaps if you like this concept, you'll let me know. Or if you have alternative ideas, I'd like to hear them!

Otherwise, It's a beautiful Monday! I hope you're enjoying it!

I'd love to be on the program as well, Craig.

Of course, no one would watch. ;)

You should promote our film.

Craig, I think if the journals are dead, the chances of them seeing this entry are slim to none. *smirk*

Well, I was appealing to the journals that AREN'T dead! If they are dead, I don't want 'em back!

I never know what's going on with the film! My agent hasn't talked to me about it in ages. He seems to be too busy trying to get me the role of Superman, I think. ;)

Don't be so sure! We always get people watching!

The problem I see is that you're trying to do it all yourself. In the on air version you have people who set up the guests for you, writers in the background and a staff to do the mundane shit for you so when it comes to the taping all you have to do is show up and supervise and do your on air thing. If you could get someone to set up the guests and maybe someone to help you fact find with the five questions and send you interesting and funny news so you just have to work your magic, and maybe someone to supervise the audience, then the whole thing would probably go a lot smoother. Whatever you do, I have to check one of these out and if you need a guest then you know I'm always around. You're my favorite host...that I'm talking to right now.

It's true! I have a full network staff who all refused to have anything to do with this supplement version of the show.

I've tried to get volunteers to pitch in with guest scheduling and pre-interview stuff, but with only limited success. That's part of the reason for the delay until late May to attempt this again. Hopefully the college interns will be willing to participate!

You must be a guest on the show! As soon as I figure out how it's going to work, I'll ask you on.

Proud.

I'm adding you tonight.

Although, I don't think that we've met before.

Due to a clear oversight, I didn't ever respond to you! Sherilyn, it's very nice to have you around. I have enjoyed your work going all the way back to "Twin Peaks!" (Kyle MacLachlan is a Party Pal).

I look forward to eventually meeting you and maybe promoting one of your new projects, like a guest shot on "Dawson's Creek" or something like that...

It's ok, I've been here, there, and everywhere.

Thank you. ;) I'm actually in LA right now, I would love to get-together and talk if you have the time.
