Spring Cleaning + Rearranging...
Apr. 28th, 2003 10:33 amSo... here's my deal. I'm fortunate enough to have a very large friends list and an even LARGER friend of list. I like interacting. What can I say? Job description.
But I don't like having a large number of "dead journals" on my list. So, if you had friended me and I dumped you, it's probably because you haven't posted in over 8 weeks. It's not that I don't like you, but if you aren't active, then you better move on.
So, if the above scenario is true for you and you'd like me to add you back, please let me know with a comment. It's really helpful.
Also, thanks in part to
majandra_d, I'm looking into a revival and a reworking of the
late_late_show.
Part of the problem with the program is all of the writing that goes into it. I do an "In The News" segment, monologue jokes, 5 questions, and frequently Yambo, and my schedule (and budget for the AIM/LJ version) doesn't allow me to do it on a weekly basis.
So, I was thinking that maybe I would do a scaled down version of the program, with the emphasis on guest interaction, and maybe only one or two of the elements from the CBS show each time. Maybe it would be thirty minutes instead of an hour, and if it proved to be doable, perhaps as much as twice a week, possibly starting at the end of May.
Then, there is the matter of getting guests for the program, a big stumbling block this past winter! If there's no interest, then there's no point in trying it! Perhaps if you like this concept, you'll let me know. Or if you have alternative ideas, I'd like to hear them!
Otherwise, It's a beautiful Monday! I hope you're enjoying it!

Date: 2003-04-28 02:30 pm (UTC)Craig, I think if the journals are dead, the chances of them seeing this entry are slim to none. *smirk*

Date: 2003-04-29 11:28 pm (UTC)I've tried to get volunteers to pitch in with guest scheduling and pre-interview stuff, but with only limited success. That's part of the reason for the delay until late May to attempt this again. Hopefully the college interns will be willing to participate!
You must be a guest on the show! As soon as I figure out how it's going to work, I'll ask you on.
Proud.

I look forward to eventually meeting you and maybe promoting one of your new projects, like a guest shot on "Dawson's Creek" or something like that...
