Can I say that people don't have a lot of love for this whole changing everything "French" to "Freedom" that the sitting Administration seems to be doing. It's helpful to remember that the Louisiana Purchase was a claimed by the French before the United States chartered it.
The whole Creole language thing is rooted in French and, honestly, there should be a bit of slack when it comes to trashing those that speak French generally, I think. You would too, if you came here, spoke to the people and actually bothered to listen!
So, the next time you decide to just haphazardly feel like making some sort of angry remark... think twice.
Another upset today in the NCAAs. Syracuse beat down Oklahoma, so there will be some Orange in the Final Four.
But the Longhorns stuck out a pesky Spartans charge and a single #1 seed made it all the way through, as Texas bumped off Michigan State!
So, your Final Four teams are:
Marquette v. Kansas
Syracuse v. Texas
The semifinal games are Saturday, and the National Championship game is a week from tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Baseball season quietly started tonight! The World Champion Anaheim Angels had their home opener, and immediately lost to the Texas Rangers. Don't worry, Angels fans... they lost a bunch of their first few games last season, and look how that turned out!
Finally, and most importantly, we're ready for the big shows tomorrow! It will be a thrill, and I'm not bragging when I say that people have been lining up to get in to see the show... it's like a big camping trip on the streets of New Orleans! I felt like handing out Coca-Cola®, to the kids, just to make sure they stayed refreshed!
Remember to tune in to CBS tomorrow night please... A little bit of history, as David Letterman is back at 11:37, and I'll follow the show with our first episode from The Big Easy!
