For The Record...
Mar. 19th, 2003 04:12 amMarch Madness begins and you can count on it being a blast! The first games tip off on Thursday just past 9am Pacific/12 Noon Eastern time! We're being pre-empted Thursday and Friday, that's how much basketball we've got to play! Go HERE to see all of the brackets and the schedules for your favorite team! Even a WAR won't stop this madness!
I trust you've all seen my Coca-Cola® commercial and my cardboard cut out in your supermarket!
Note: I don't necessarily endorse the Blue Devils of Duke at the ultimate winner of the NCAA championship.
Of course, the sad thing is the stars won't be walking on the Red Carpet for the 75th Annual Academy Awards! So Joan and Melissa Rivers are going to interview the transients on Hollywood Boulevard before the show, and getting their commentary on the hows and whys of war and of fashion. Questions: what day spa do they enjoy sleeping in front of? And what's your label... from that bottle of cheap beer? It will be scintillating!
Meanwhile... the
late_late_show is back on Saturday. *crosses fingers*
We're going to have a very special episode, featuring the unique and extremely talented members of the band HIM. Those in the know are already very well versed in the ways of lead instigator
villevalo and company. This will be a chance for the rest of the world to catch up with the forward thinkers of this band, which will make you forgot other Scandinavian musical exports like ABBA, Ace Of Base and that other group that I can't remember right now. The Barbie Girls or something.
We haven't yet firmed up the time, but we THINK we will be on at the standard showtime: 12 Midnight eastern... 9pm Pacific. At least, that's the plan, assuming there isn't some military action that takes down the internet, or AIM decides to go into IM only mode, or that SNL rerun is just too fascinating to look away from, or I get a better offer from
c_diaz and
parkerposey.
Otherwise, fill out your brackets... not the [ ] kind... the NCAA kind! Here's my thoughts... Watch out for Marquette. Kentucky is clearly the team to beat. And Syracuse sucks! Oh, and it wouldn't hurt if you tune in for the Late Late Show when we go to the Final Four in New Orleans! It should be extreme excitement!
Proud of you.
