Double Feet-ure

[livejournal.com profile] debra_messing came over and was being especially sweet. She brought her copy of "A Bronx Tale" which wasn't nearly as violent as I thought it would be. Then, she selected a copy of "When Harry Met Sally..." from my collection to play as a second film to watch.

So, something I noticed about Deb is she has really beautiful feet. She was wearing her jammies and walking around barefoot. Frankly, I don't generally pay attention to feet, but she put them up and sort of hinted that she wanted a foot massage. So, I catered. Many Hollywood actresses don't have attractive feet, but hers were, well, just about perfect.

And she playfully reinacted the "deli scene" from the movie we were watching as I massaged her peds. It was too funny!

I feel a bit odd about things though... I mean, here she's in this really vunerable place right now. I don't know what's happening, exactly, but I certainly don't want to abuse my friendship.

And there was a eerily similar scene in "When Harry Met Sally..." where Billy Crystal is comforting Meg Ryan over her split up and they wind up sleeping together. No, nothing like that happened! But I got a sense that Deb wouldn't have stopped me if I did go in that direction.

Am I overthinking this?

We had planned to sleep in separate rooms, but, as it turned out, Deb slept in my bed, which was okay. It's a California King sized bed, so it wasn't like we were snuggling or anything. Debra just didn't want to be alone, and that's okay. I was fine with it.

She got up early and left by 8:30. Maybe she sensed my awkwardness? Or maybe she had some very important appointment on a Sunday morning.

I think she's kind of brave for confronting her situation by throwing a Valentine's Day party. I already promised her that I would attend. It's this coming Saturday.

Now, I have to work on my new project, which I will share with you, hopefully before day's end!
