The 113th Tournament of Roses was a blast! [livejournal.com profile] reege left me a couple of tickets (he's so nice!) so I had to watch the displays, the pageantry, the spectacle! Unfortunately, Anne Robinson was back in England with her family, so we couldn't go over to NBC Burbank to kick her ass. Maybe next time, Reege!

It was fun to see all of our lj favorites all over the NYE coverage... like O Town, Mandy on MTV, and the boys of *NSYNC doing their new song "Boyfriend!" I hope you all had a great night!

I kept it low-key. Merv and I just briefly stopped by [livejournal.com profile] christinaricci's party. Mervelous wasn't all that comfortable with all of the younger people so we only stayed for a few moments.

Meanwhile, I got wind that Clooney is directing his first picture: the biopic of game show creator and Gong Show host Chuck Barris! And yes, [livejournal.com profile] m_damon is doing a bit in it, as well as Pitt. Supposedly, they're playing contestants on that classic Barris show: The Dating Game! It promises to be really funny, but so did that Jacqueline Susann biopic, and that was a turkey.

Can Clooney do funny? As a director? Time will tell. Will this mean a revival of The Gong Show? Let's hope so, huh?

I expect a lot out of 2002, but not more than I'm willing to give.

Proud.
