Yes, I sometimes don't just hang at "54" with all of you people who really don't seem to like me all that much anyway! Sometimes you have to go be social.

So, I went to Larry and Shawn King's Black Tie benefit for Larry's Cardiac Foundation at the Regent Beverly-Wilshire Hotel. Call it a little tribute to my boss, David Letterman.

And yes, I brought a date. Just in case you thought I couldn't!

Larry Flynt was there and promised me a bunch of subscriptions to some magazines. I just throw those to the writers anyhow. Of course that'll mean the jokes won't get written until five minutes before airtime. Maybe, I'd better rethink.

Sidney Poitier was very charming and I hope he shows up around here some time. We could use some more style and class. Rod Stewart sounds better today than he did in the 80s, and I'm convinced that Leeza Gibbons is the grown up version of [livejournal.com profile] m_moore! Maybe that's a mother/daughter role in the making. Oh, and I can't forget [livejournal.com profile] mr_mcconaughey was also in attendance!

Of course, I was there at the invitation of my Party Palâ„¢ Robert Evans, who was receiving a special tribute. And Dana Carvey! Wasn't THAT special.

Maybe I'll start getting out more. It's nice to be around people who like me!
Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] _oprah_!

Personally, I don't really care what anyone says. I'm pretty much immune to comments of comics, especially the ones that are unemployed.

But I just have to take a moment to talk about Dennis Miller, who decided to drop my name as he did one of his famous rants on the Leno show.

What was the point? Okay, so you know "My Deal." Wow, man. That makes you what? Jillian Barberie? And then the whole thing was left open, as though it would have been embarrassing to say, or that you're just holding the info over everybody's head. Can I say it? Useless.

Hey, Den Den... feel free to come around anytime and I'll tell everybody what your deal is NOT.
After hanging around in a chat with [livejournal.com profile] lavigne and [livejournal.com profile] john_mayer, a flash of inspiration hit me...

A Pre-Grammy Awards edition of the [livejournal.com profile] late_late_show!

We'd have on some of the top nominees... have a few games, a few laughs, maybe even a song or two!

The Grammy Awards are coming up fast... the same weekend that "Old School" opens in theaters! So I really want to move on this.

Where are the nominees that want to give the show a go?

<3 U!
