"Awards."

It seems that all I talk about lately is the subject of awards. Ironic, really, since I host one of the few shows not nominated for a single Emmy.

When cravenmoorehead and I began to discuss the idea of a must_be_pop Awards, way back in June, there were a couple of ground rules we wanted to keep at the fore. The first was to try to make it inclusive. We wanted as many people involved in some way as we could possibly get. The second was to make sure no one took anything seriously, and, of course, that we all had some fun with it. It wasn't really about "awarding" anything. But it was more a chance to say, Wow! This game has been going on for a year, look how it's grown, look how much fun it is to do it and let's collectively celebrate.

The spirit of the Bubbles was to include, not deconstruct. To elevate, not destroy. To provide an opportunity for the entire community to come together, an excuse to have a party!

I still hope everyone votes for their choices... There's about 72 hours left before the polls close. If you haven't yet...
