Joey's Wild Day And Night!

As I mentioned before, joeylaurenadams had a barbeque planned. Basically it was a gathering of all the available man meat in town to spend some face time with her.

I was the second person there. m_damon was there puttering around the grill when he gets this call on his cellular. He starts laughing and says that he would love to do something and it's going to be great.

Matt is busy cooking and smiling ear to ear and chatting about this thing coming up later that's going to be great, and that he hoped I would be staying til later in the evening. Okay...?

So, anyway, I'm there, and I don't really eat a lot of meat but I have been known to have the occasional burger. So I have him fix me up one. But these were filet mignon burgers from Omaha Steaks. Whoa. Meat Head Rush!

No one else has arrived yet. (When I'm late, I'm on time, so everyone came about 45 minutes later.)

Joey, for those of you who don't know, is much more thoughtful and... I don't want to say "intelligent" because she doesn't come across as dumb when she's on TV. But there's more substance there. You could see how much doing things right meant to her.

She was out there cheering us on. It was rather good, and I didn't feel like such an outcast, as I normally do!

Soon enough the place was buzzing with the other guests, and the fun was really starting to kick in.

Lots of cheese for the cheeseburgs! (Yes, I'm from Minnesota.) Lots of meat in those buns! Matt was the Iron Grill Chef!

I got to play bartender for most of the night, which was the next best thing!

Who else? That's what you want to know about. drew_barrymore was totally organized and ready for fun! She brought leann_rimes along and, of course Tom, who was lying down as a lawn dart target. Very funny.

Drew was eating grilled tofu, and my spicy guac dip was a big hit! Drew was taking it a little easy. She wasn't feeling 100 percent, but still wanted to make sure that everyone around her was having fun, too. It was almost like having two hostesses!

Of course, Joey had something for everyone to nosh on! ;o)

The Brothers Affleck were drinking Pepsi in the corner and chatting with anyone who wandered over. I don't think Casey knows who I am.

"How do you turn a barbecue on?" riddled Joey... "You call it a brick house!"

k_richardson seemed afraid to talk to me. I guess he heard my *NSYNC jokes and just assumed I'd hit a_jmclean and him with some zingers. But no! I was off duty today.

Later, AJ, affleck, and rdowney_jr along with our gracious hostess went into her bedroom, I presume to have a bit of a "One Day At A Time" moment. She's so thoughtful that way.

Meanwhile, Drew and Leann couldn't stop giggling! I think one of them got the hiccups or something, because they kept performing the Heimlich on each other! At least that's how it looked.

Then, all heads turned, as amanda_latona sauntered sexily onto the patio. Her outfit was hotter than the grill.

One bothersome moment for me: deltoro kept asking me to get him jalapeños. He obviously thought I worked here. Ouch!

And old butty, ryan_phillippe was hanging with Benicio. No reese_w, since she's working on a new project. Ryan and I got to catch up a bit. I turned over bartending duties to him so I could get around to finding those jalapeños for Benicio. They didn't stay very long.

A bit later, when I went into the bathroom, the door was locked. Someone was inside. In fact several someones were in there. I don't know exactly who they were, or what they were doing, so don't ask me about this, okay?

But wasn't tiff_theissen was the life of the party! She was ready to show everyone a good time, and that's exactly what she did!

She led the chorus line of dancers on the Picnic Table and was the first person to toss off her halter top, beating Drew by one one-thousandth of a second!

Then, Joey put on some salsa music and we got to see those maracas shake!

Timing, timing! We were forcibly retired to the den, upon the demand of Matt (who kept checking his watch), to look at the East Coast Feed of SNL (you have to have satellite. It's a must!) He got us all in to watch the show (which really thrilled Ben, since Gwyneth Paltrow was hosting).

So here's the thing. Matt says to us, "I'm gonna go Copperfield on your ass!" and he walks into the next room.

Then, on the TV, we see a sketch with chris_kattan as the infamous Mango with Gwyneth. Mango starts talking about having a date with Matt Damon. A second later, on the screen, Matt opens the door on the set, catching his breath, still wearing the exact outfit he had on; flirts with Mango, feels him up and slaps his ass!

Everybody in the room was speechless! And Ben almost shot Pepsi out of his nose when Gwyneth said that line "Oh, you weren't the one I dated!" to Matt! Lucky he didn't shoot Coke out of his nose, right?

The topper was when the sketch was over, and Matt came back into the room, he was wearing Mango's little pink hat with the chin strap!

How did he do it? It got wild applause, and all of the girls "flocked" to him, if you catch my drift. Hey, I'm in TV and I don't know how he did it!

Meanwhile, kevinsmith also came over, and talked to me about a project he's writing. But I don't want to jinx it or get my hopes up about it, like I did with that tim_burton's boy band movie. I'm not an actor, but I occasionally play one on TV.

Things got a bit cozy in the den, and we all sort of curled up with each other. Lots of great bodies. That was just sweet. I'm sorry about being modest, but I don't really like to talk about that too much. You understand. I'm a gentleman. Gentle Man.

I left early and kissed Tiff and Joey good night, both of whom were getting a bit sloppy. Good for them!

I can't agree with that being my motivation, *wink*, however if it were, it would be sad as most available man meat seems to be available only to each other.

Joey, for those of you who don't know, is much more thoughtful and... I don't want to say "intelligent" because she doesn't come across as dumb when she's on TV. But there's more substance there. You could see how much doing things right meant to her.
