The Week Ahead, And Other Such Stuff
Jun. 9th, 2003 12:26 amHi! Let's take a moment to look at the stuff you'll want to know about in and around the world of the
late_late_show this week!
First, looking at the CBS broadcasts...
MONDAY, we're going to have a laugh or two with one of the stars of that new Harrison Ford flim "Hollywood Homicide," Lou Diamond Phillips. Remember when he did Richie Valens in that movie, "La Bamba?" Yeah. Neither do I. Also on that show is Brandi Chastain who is probably the most famous woman to disrobe in front of a Rose Bowl crowd since Nancy Reagan did it at the '84 Olympics. Oh, no. Wait! Nancy was at the Coliseum.
TUESDAY, John Corbett and Mimi Rogers will square off in a rousing game of Yambo.
THURSDAY is notable because Oscar winner Juliette Binoche will drop in, and so will CBS News Iraq War correspondent Lara Logan. She really made a name for herself reporting during the bombing and subsequent takeover of Baghdad, and there will be plenty to discuss with her. Also,
peter_yorn!
FRIDAY... is the week already over?
g_pearce and The Eels help to make things exciting.
The good stuff is that on WEDNESDAY I wanted to remind you that we'll be doing the first episode of The Kilborn Interview with our first guest,
majandra_delfino! Showtime is at 8pm PDT/11pm EDT LIVE on AIM. It should be neat! If you can't make it, of course you can see the program in the
late_late_show journal.
Thanks to all of the people who asked me to "interview" them... though the "five questions" I asked for these LJ interviews are not the same style as the "Five Questions" you get when in the chair of the CBS telecast or even the AIM/LJ version. People seem to be having fun with them, but anyone can interview anyone else! You don't have to come to me, though I'm flattered if you do.
I'll have only a little time this week for that, so there might be a delay if you ask me now, but I'll try to do my best.
Otherwise, have a wonderful week and I'll see you out there!
